I love experimenting and creating textures and patterns from both found textures and hand created / drawn / painted ones. Many of my textures have been created for their own sake over the years. More recently some of them have been finding their way into my own finished work (mostly of the ‘abstract fine art’ variety. Those that haven’t, have been kicking around my hard drive taking up mental space.
So Scrabooli Textures is where I get to share them around a bit…. I’m letting them out into the wild to find a new life someplace else.
You won’t find straight ‘found’ textures here – ie. photos or scans of raw unchanged textures – after all, there are plenty of sites out there where you can find those basic textures if you wish – see the links page.
What you will find are textures that are created using multiple layers of differing images that link together to create an image that is not only a wonderful texture but often a work of art in it’s own right. Textures that are ready to be used as background images or to be cut up into elements in your latest design or scrapbooking project. Textures and images that are unique and may only be found here at Scrabooli Textures.
When you have made something using one of my images please feel free to share it with everyone in our flickr group
